The app has been only partially functional so I haven't been using it as much but I have finally figured out the two biggest road blocks that have prevented me from building it out to the degree I have wanted to.
As time permits I work on it, usually for a few hours every other day and I have been making real progress. Implementing these changes and upgrading everything is the largest project I've ever attempted while travelling but it has been working out surprisingly well. Taking all the time to set up my System 76 laptop has been paying dividends.
The plan from here in Santa Cruz is to just head down the coast all the way taking my time. I need to be in San Diego on Tuesday.
I initially thought maybe my timing chain was loose because sometimes the engine sounds odd. I'm keeping an eye on it. Also while accelerating every now and then there's an odd clunk coming from the front end. Additionally, the bike in higher ambient temperatures and especially when climbing runs hotter than I think it should.
The Santa Cruz mountains are cool and worth a look. I rode through ridiculously twisty little remote roads covered in a dark foreboding forest.
